The luxury?Affordable custom art

One thing you think little about, in times when speed is the new and aggressive mantra, is to stop thinking precisely.

To what? For example, what matters, what is indispensable for everyday life such as food, a roof under the head, a dignified work and the love of a loved one or the unconditional affection of an animal friend... and what "we want" because they all have it, because otherwise we lose social status or because it makes us feel accepted.

What does art have to do with it? Put simply: everything.

Every choice we make is artistic, aesthetic or related to the taste that is ours or others.

We like a bag because it's famous, why does it have a person we admire or why it's really beautiful?

On the walls of the house there are often beautiful family photos, which also adorn mine and represent beautiful memories, but more often (poor) imitations of famous works... by the way, always the same: Klimt's "Kiss", John Everett Millais's "Ofelia", Tamara de Lempicka's charismatic women to give some quick examples. Or posters of famous and beautiful movies, in short, the works of art remembered by the "cover".

But the paintings? They have become battery-printed flower triptychs, magnifying of illustrious photographs or iconic cities and available at very low price for example in the most famous Swedish furniture store in the world.

And creativity slowly crumpled on itself and moaning in a corner, while young talents think only to reproduce cartoons (the beautiful fan art that however must not become serial and only for a character if not is obsession) or faces of women all the same, with firm mouths and big eyes, colored hairs and high cheekbones.

Views of magazines, even if beautiful are now already old.

That's why it's important to go back to seeing with your own eyes and realize that modern luxury is not given by spending so much, from copying the starlet on duty or having in the house furniture and design objects whose history you do not even know.

Luxury is having something personalized, made just for you.

Ferragamo, for example, began as a humble and unknown shoe maker, but his genius led him to dress the feet of the most beautiful and famous Hollywood stars, and now to continue a story of success and style now almost centuries old.

That's why I love to do portraits.

Not only because of my innate curiosity about people and their face or body, seen with the eyes of an artist of course, but to give a little bit of me and those I portray seen with my own eyes to those who ask me (or who I like).

It has a cost, of course, and I don't get on with that.

I spent half of my life studying and accumulating experience, successes and failures that formed me, buying the best materials for the best yield (in some cases it's true: the material makes a difference, like those who use it) and I don't like to hear myself make the price from people who claim to have a 15€ painting because they find it everywhere.

I do not have high prices, I know that in the era we live, the problems of everyday life are also mine and I assure you that living in art is like living with air and love in a world where everything must be immediately usable.

But I want both to earn and to bring culture, not because I'm a special ambassador or have a disproportionate talent, but because studying and perfecting myself I can do it and, guys!, I like to do it!

I do many other things or smaller portraits for 15€, I often also offer many discounts and coupons to save but get closer to art and crafts.

But I decide it and not a person who wants to exploit even the most elected and candid thing that there is, not me clearly but art.

Otherwise there are always photo enlargements or you can try many apps or go to the famous Swedish store and still be happy.

Sorry about the length of the post but it's a topic I hear a lot.

What do you think?
